Dhaka, 13 April 2026 – The Inter-Services Azan and Qirat Competition 2026 commenced today at the Shaheen Mosque of BAF Base Bashar in Dhaka under the supervision of the Bangladesh Air Force. The competition was formally inaugurated by Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Logistics), Rear Admiral Md. Shafiqur Rahman, who attended the opening ceremony as the chief guest. A total of 36 participants from the Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, and Bangladesh Air Force are taking part in the competition. On the opening day, the Qirat segment of the contest was held, showcasing the recitation skills of the participants. Senior military officials from the three services, along with other members, were present at the event. The competition will conclude on April 15, 2026, with a closing and prize distribution ceremony.
